23 weeks. Still not laying. Anyone else?

3 NHR's.... almost 32 weeks, NO EGGS. 3 EE's around 6 months, no eggs but not expecting them for another 2 months anyway.

Now my mutt who stopped on 9/6 has started back up this week...... But she can't keep up with demand!!! We need at least 4 to 6 eggs a day in this house, not to mention the 9 I need every 10 days for dog food or anytime we decided to have fried rice or egg foo young or cake or.....

o.p are your chickens from ideal poultry? mine started laying at 25-39 weeks you will get something soon

I have 2 BO's and 2 BR's that are not yet laying at almost 24 weeks. They are REALLY red, big combs and wattles, even sometimes root around in the nest box, does anyone think they are getting ready?????

We got our four BO's as day olds May 19th- NADA from any of them. I know they are supposed to still be a breed that will lay in winter, but we don't have a light in their coop.

Do you think I am just outta luck until the day's lengthen again?

ChickenBottom - no, not from Ideal. I think they are from Belt Hatchery in Fresno.

My girls RIR just started laying last week. They are 29 weeks now. WE started with 1 egg a day now we are up to 4 or 5 eggs a day.

Has anyone used Calf Manna to increase proteins in your chickens’ diet? It is very good and only takes 2 tablespoons per bird per day. I start at 15 weeks (egg layers) and between 17 to 19 weeks everybody is laying eggs (ISA browns, Pearl Leghorns, Buff Orpingtons). They love it, I feed it to the rabbits, ducks and when I had goat they received small quantities, also. It is full of the missing nutrients that are to expensive to add to commercial layer blends. Try Googling “Calf Manna ingredients” to see if it would improve your bird’s diet. Use caution, too much can cause degistive problems, it is low in fiber but high in nutrients.
