That uniform stands between me and those that would do me harm-for that I am grateful.
My theory is, stay on the right side of the law and you won't even come into contact with them, but they'll be there if you need them.

Police are people, most of them are good people, and yet the rotten ones consistently get off easy, because for some bizarre reason people insist that cops are automatically better and are incapable of doing wrong.

Exactly my friend;

My Uncle was shot and killed by an off duty cop in a scuffle betwixt the two over family matters that involved my Uncle just receiving custody of his 1 year old son from the "clinically insane" mother(which was the cops daughter no less). Yep killed him deader'n a door-nail. The cop got 1 year of jail time and the rest suspended, I guess because maybe he was ABOVE the law? I don't think so, the sorry SOB, that's the ones that gives ALL cops a bad name, ya know. I don't wish a whole lot of people dead but that's one old jerk(the cop, yeah he's dead now, too) I'm glad his @$$ is getting jabbed by the devil's red hot tines on his pitch fork while shoveling in more coal as we speak.

And to all you good cops out there just keep on being good and do your job the right way, and all will be fine with me.

They ARE NOT going to come looking for you for NO REASON.
Sorry, I don't believe that "bad cops" are going to seek me out in my home, at work, sitting in a restaurant, etc. when I'm DOING NOTHING WRONG.

Just as I suspected the usual cop bashers turned out in force.

This thread is about children losing their parents because their parents become targets every day when they put on a uniform.

Sure there are bad cops, just like there are bad teachers, bad lawyers (O-M-Gee!), bad doctors, bad individuals in every profession you can name. MOST are not in danger of losing their life simply because of their jobs. Most don't get bashed on a daily basis due to their choice of profession.

I did not start this thread for y'all to air your grievances with LEOs. Take your complaints somewhere else please.
