2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Chickenstock May 4, 2013

I was thinking of bringing Dubia Roaches to Chickenstock too! I've been thinking about it since last year's Chickenstock. My chickens go nuts when I bring out Dubias for them to eat!

I just haven't gotten around to asking about renting a space at Chickenstock yet. Somehow I missed subscribing to this thread so I need to go back & read it which will likely answer any questions I have! The chickens just keep me so busy!

I was hoping to have some Coturnix Quail chicks for Chickenstock also but my incubator has had a couple of issues, all caused by me... so I'm not sure I'll have quail chicks! They are due to start hatching today or tomorrow so should know soon! I sold all the 3 week old Coturnix chicks I had last weekend. I could also bring fertile Jumbo Brown Coturnix eggs if anyone is interested.

that sounds good, cause there should probly be alot that would like to buy, what i'm gona do is just set up my roaches by were my chickens will be for showing.. i'll be bringing about 2000 maybe 3000 roaches i'm jsut gona bring a huge storage tub of them and my packaging for people to carry and take them home with them..

Seeing how I swore I was done hatching, with my last batch of paint showgirl eggs going in the bator today, then I see your post. Quail eggs? Hmmmmm I might bite :) Never done that before. I will let you know after pausing to try and think rationally about this...lol How many days do they incubate for? We have a pen all built for quail, and just have not gotten any yet.... :D

Oops! Hehe!

I really am enjoying my Coturnix Quail. They lay almost every day year round (with lights in the winter) and start laying around 6-8 weeks! They typically hatch after 16-18 days of incubation. Fun!

Quail eggs are said to be super healthy, good for skin conditions (such as eczema, etc), allergies, and much more. People allergic to chicken eggs can often eat quail eggs. And they're just darn CUTE!

Love love love the T-Shirt! I'll take an XL.

Anyone traveling by pickup truck from Caldwell (Boise) that has room to bring me some cages? They're bulky, but fairly light weight. I'd help with fuel costs!

Duly Noted! I got lots of eggs, I will likely keep what hatches and grow them out a bit, to see colors and whatnot. You cannot tell gender on these forever, because I have had three roosters in a row that I thought were girls right up until they crowed--I want to be sure I get my girls, I am going to breed them to my paint showgirl rooster Vinnie. BUT Once they are grown out a bit, if the hatch goes even semi-decent I should have extra juveniles for sale so I will let you know what is available, I have one other person in line that wants two or three, and I want 2-4, and I have 34 eggs so crossing fingers :) I am up in your area all the time, so I could bring some to you this summer if it all works out and you still want some.

Vinnie--
