YES! It's still too early to tell...HA! But just humor me???

This buff's comb is quite clearly larger and pinker than the other 8 buff that I have! Although she/he seems to stand more like a pullet at times. Thoughts? :)

It's probably an early cockerel, judging by the pink comb it has. Keep a eye on it, if it gets pinker and bigger, definitely a cockerel.

Thank you! We're outside of city limits and have 15 total birds. One cockeral would be be nice! Hopefully that's the only one!

Hard to tell color because of the red lighting. In some photos the bird has red feathers, in others it is light colored, which is correct?? Makes me unsure of comb color as well.

It's feathers are light. No red to feather color. The pictures with flash are the most accurate for color. The pics of me holding it in the kitchen should be color accurate as well. IMG_20180331_142127_154.jpg IMG_20180331_142127_155.jpg

Total rooster. I had a batch of 5 buff orpingtons 2 years ago and one was a rooster. Totally with larger and already pink comb at 3 weeks is a rooster

Kind of excited and nervous at the same time! This is our first time raising chickens!

I'm basically convinced he's a rooster. It's almost as if overnight his waddles grew and turned red. The other 8 still have yellow waddles. It's late so I'll share an updated pic of him tomorrow.

Update...Ya, so. This is "King" now...lol! Definitely a "he". (The kids named him). So far he's a pretty nice guy. We have 20 pullets so plan on keeping him for now!
