Lol and everything in between! I know the man and his family that run the auction. Did you know on Friday nights they have an auction for everything else (not animal)?

Looks like only 2 from this batch...We deemed the last 2 deceased and turned off bator...We'll clean it out and fill er back up very soon!

Looking for mini-silkies now!

I can't find the picture, but someone sent us one that showed a 'mini'...

One of our babies seems to be favoring a foot like it's hurt...

Seemed fine first thing this morning, then he was peeping quite a bit and I went to look and he was favoring a foot(keeping it up and pecking at it, sort of)...When he stood he would hold it up, but then he would scadaddle across the cage...I hope it's temporary...

Mini silkies?? Silkies are bantams, so they are smaller than a larger sized chicken, but I don't think there's such a thing as a, "mini silkie." And some are smaller than others. I have a 3 year old silkie hen who looks the size of a pullet.

As fas as your injured chick, check her foot and make sure there's nothing sticking her. She could have just hurt it a little--just allow her plenty of rest, food, and water. Keep an eye on here and make sure she can get to food and water okay. I like to make a wet mash for injured chicks--which is just wet feed. They can peck at it more easily. But make sure to change it daily, so it doesn't spoil. Keep us posted...
