I think 44% might be too low. Can you raise it?44% RH. I can see tiny blood vessels in the membrane.
Ok, RH is up to 74%, and they are back in the incubator. I took them out of the incubator when they started pipping and put them in a brooder with a light on them to keep the temp stable, because I have and auto turner in that incubator and 1 egg that still has 10 days left, so I didn't want them to hatch in there. I didn't realize that the humidity in my house was so low.
I'll just turn off the turner, let these 2 hatch out, and then turn the turner back on.
I've peeled back the egg and most of the outer membrane near where the air sac was, and they seemed to try to push a bit more. I'll let them work their way out. I think that's the best solution at this point. They're squealing tons. I'll keep everyone updated in a few hours.
