Probably the Calendar with pics of chickens on it figuring out the set date for the April 8th (Easter Hatch)...
Which means all of us will be setting for Easter Hatch on St. Patricks Day this year. Makes it easy to remember

Okay, that doesn't seem so far away now!! I'll be doing my own countdown until St. Patty's Day!!!

In the meantime, all of you will have to do lots of hatching so I can live vicariously through you!!

I only candle twice. I feel that anymore than that and I'm exposing the eggs to possible fracture or other harm... but I'm a worry-wart anyways.

I candle on day 10 and day 18. Dec 21st & Dec 29th.

I've only had one hen that got bumble foot and it took us a few little surgeries and 3 weeks for her to heal. A white rock, she was an awesome patient. I also found the nail that was sticking slightly up on her favorite roosting spot. I covered any spot on any of the roots that I felt could hurt their feet with duct tape and I haven't had a case of bumble foot since.

BUT THEN..... I learned how to do the collage calendars!

12 of us (me and 11 friends of mine) got our pictures together (one month for each one of us), and I made us a calendar.

Oh how I wish I could get some of your beautiful birds!

I'm sure you could sell those calenders too, those are much better pics than the ones on the chicken calenders I looked at in our local shops.

Well, I was thinking of making a calendar with the submitted photos.

That is, if I get some good pictures, and get one for each month, and if the submitters agreed to it.
