3rd Annual Rocky Mountain Chickenstock May 3rd, 2014

Hey Michelle,

Right now I have 2 pullets that are splash. My evil plans were to put them with my black copper to get some nice blues.

If you want some splashes I will probably end up with some chicks. I have 4 blue pullets and a blue boy I'm going to play around with.

Maybe a trade for some creole crazy hairs would be in order!

Absolutely! A trade would work perfectly.

As long as hatching goes well between now and May 3rd I will be bringing:
1. Cream Legbar chicks
2. Welsummer chicks
3. Sebastopol geese adults and goslings

Where did your breeding stock of Legbars and Welsummers come from?

Looking for some DARK egg laying Welsummers...the hatchery ones that grew up from last year were underwhelming...

I got my stock from a lady here in Utah and I was told she got her lagbars from Greenfire and welsummers from Whitmore Farms. I am pleased with the egg color on welsummers. I will take some pictures and send them to you.

I am in the market for a bantam Cochin pullet and a bantam Easter egger pullet, I can pick them up at Chickenstock. They would need to be old enough to be put out in the run. A couple of my bantams died on me over the winter and I want to replace them, I wouldn't even mind a rooster as well ( I want to let my banty girls hatch their own eggs, I know at least one of them goes broody like clockwork).
I am not sure that any of my chicks will be old enough to tell if they are pullets by then, but we can hope for the best and cross fingers, also the oldest chicks I will have will be about a month old, so depending on your weather may still need some amount of light... Just FYI if you want to get something from me..

Hey mandi! So your Mom's frizzle DID turn out to be a girl? yay! That is the one you got from me right? Mine was a girl too. She is so fluffy!

I won't have chicks for sale this year (I don't think anyway haha). Not planning to bring any right now, I have gotten all mine hatched and want to have them in the run by end of April...no summer brooding for me, we will be out of town too much over the summer.

Mesha--I would LOVE a wheaten marans pullet or two if you have some grown out to sell at chickenstock. Will you put me on your presale list? I would be glad to pay ahead to reserve them.
I will keep an eye on what else you have, depending on how many of my chicks turn out to be boys I might have room for a couple more.

Lisa!! How goes it girl?!? Fortunately, because the wheaten roo chicks feather in black and the wheaten pullet chicks feather in wheaten hopefully I will know which is which by chickenstock... again, maybe a few crossed fingers and some luck and it will work out, lol

No flyers yet.. will let you know... Free drawings would be great!! Anyone else want to donate anything?

Depending on how my hatches go, I would like to donate a few chicks, too!!

Excited!!!

Yeah she is a hen, I was so glad when she layed an egg, you don't know how many sleepless nights I had stressing over wether or not she would be a pullet or a roo. I want to bring her to enter in the show but her feathers are not looking the greatest, any ideas on how I can get her feathers to improve before chickenstock? Also she lays blue/green eggs, is this even possible?
