4-H chick help

Sounds good. His head (although light colored) sure looks OE. So, now, are we thinking Brassy Back, Golden Duckwing, or another variety? I really know NOTHING about OEGBs. You guys are my lifeline for this boy's bird.

Thanks also for the bantam info. The others I've seen have been small. But, I know some breeds grow faster than others, also.

I doubt it is brassy back because your bird's saddle is a deep orangish color and your bird's hackle feathers are a pale yellowish color and a brassy back would only has the deep orangish on it's shoulders :)

Hatchery bantams can be a wide range of sizes. Some might end up near standard size. Polish tend to be small or bantam sized. So if this chick is about the same size a polish, it's probably a bantam. He definitely looks bantam sized in the pictures. A standard sized OEG is about the same size as a leghorn, but with a slimmer build.
