I’ve got four chicks (four months old), brothers and sisters, and I’m pretty convinced two are cockerels, one is a pullet, and one is leaning towards a pullet, but I’m not convinced. Lol

If y’all disagree with my guesses on the first 3 please let me know

Pic 1- pullet?
Pic 2- both cockerels?
Pic 3- unknown...?

My goodness. Can that first pullet see? I have 3 of these coming and am wondering if I am going to have to give haircuts?

Pullet, 2 boys, and another pullet.

yay! I was hoping other people would think the last one was a pullet too. It’s mich bigger than the other pullet so I was worried. There was originally 6 of them, and the other two were boys (I believe) so I’m happy to have two pullets out of the 6 . The roo who had the more red comb is crowing already so I was pretty sure about him.

Thank you

Hahaha her Pom is getting bigger and bigger! This was a few weeks ago. She is the reason I’m unsure about the other pullet bc the seconds one does not have nearly as much Pom

glad you got some girls!

I had a few of these last year and not all the girls had luxurious poms. But they were all round. I think the hackle feathers were more of an indication. I’m no silkie expert though!
