Amen! Amelia was never ā€œnastyā€, per se, in fact I don’t think she’s ever bitten me. But she always wanted to fly out of the brooder (hence, the name Amelia, for Amelia Earhart), and escaped several times. When I put her out with the previous year’s birds, she calmed down a lot, and when the Brahmas and Jersey Giants started growing up, well...let’s just say she knew she was out of her weight class.šŸ˜‚
 
I had a bully RIR. She was vicious to all the others, and would even peck me and draw blood. Since then I noticed that lot of BYC people report this tendancy in RIRs, (tho the breed has its defenders.) I, for one, will never get another.
I suggest you rehome the little demon.
I have found this only in hatchery RIR. I have had heritage Reds for years and they are very good natured.
