I found a really bad photo of my old flock! these were from 2-3 years ago. the little bantam roo got killed by his son, and one of the red ones (chloe, my very favorite) was killed by a hawk/owl. everybody else is still alive though!


whats this? Chloe! shes popping out of the shed we used ot keep their feed in, this is also how i discovered a HUGE nest in there, maybe 50-60 eggs? good grief.

I found a nest last year with 30 eggs and a d'Uccle sitting on them, unfortunately the very night I found her so did a raccoon.

Hey all. If you need me for something, please check with one of the contest chairs. I've been at work all day and need to go back. (I've been off the clock most of the day though.

We're gearing up for a blizzard. 8-12 in of snow after freezing rain. Then 40 to 50 mph winds and I'm plowing for my boss tonight for the first time. I'm ready to say forget it.
Have fun chatting and pray that I don't lose power.

YAY CPL & DMRippy!!! Harmony (my 8 yr old) Hatched 4 cute yellow SERAMA peeps from CPL the yellows will go good with Bheps black serama she just hatched last week! (fourth is on the other side of the bator) So afar I have one Beautiful BIG Maran out of the shell and 3 others started a pip!! YAY

How DO you train them not to poo on the wood?

I havent been on in awhile, tons of posts behind. News on the chicks: I almost broke my incubator today while vacuuming. I thought i could carefully get around it, but then the ever so clumsy me decided to bumb it causing the automatic turner to lose the bator and it fell to the ground. I kept trying to put it back up but the turner is not workingright. It keeps falling apart. So after awhile i finally got it back up, hopefully it still turns now. :/

I have a brinsea octagon eco 20 auto turn, so you have to set the incubator on it so its a few inches off the ground. Thankfully the whole think didnt break, but if it did i have a backup bator lol
