4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

I have 6 of my own BO/PR and nine silkies from fellow BYCer WVStruttin. SO excited to see a good pip in one of the silkies shortly after MN last night...now another good pip! I feel like the sun is shining on this grey rainy/snowy morning...new life is stirring in my humble 'bator! This will be my first experience with silkies...and am particularly thrilled that the blue hens produced a couple of eggs for us at the last minute

My son woke up last night hysterical and was up for hours. I went to bed without checking everything. But i'm glad to see its working out! Everyone seems to be hatching well except one. sorry hope your 3 left make it!

Ok, this time I know I actually heard it! I heard a tiny little peep! I put my ear to the bator and heard a slight tapping... Check again in an hour or so....

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Years Eve. Mine started pipping on day 19 and by yesterday evening we had 14 hatched, 4 pipped. Hoped for a midnight hatch but of course no one hatched around then so we. went to bed about one o'clock and woke up this morning to two more hatched and 4 pipped. I hope everyone enjoyed the hatcha-long as much as my wife and I did. I didn't read all of the post but I read a lot. Congratulations to all that won the different contest! WA, BLRW, OE and EE.

Still waiting on mine... I have 4 pipped... Should be an exciting day today!

I can't believe that today is hatch day, when i have already been hatching for the past 2 days! Hoping my last couple icelandic's pull through today!!
