I'm trying to get everything ready - I will be setting serama eggs so am waiting til the 13th - and the link to the Atomic Clock doesn't seem to be working. It takes me to the site, but the official time once the zone is selected does not display. Any other good sites?

Where can the spreadsheet to enter my egg info etc be found?

Also a little confused on where to post my egg inhabited incubator picture at the begging of my set?


Just as a fun tid bit - this is my very first hatch ever! I look forward to participating with you all for my very first time! Figured the timing would come in handy if I have any questions

Shipping out my first package of eggs that I've shipped in awhile. Please wish the eggs luck, especially in such a hectic mailing system at this time of the year!

Double-box, with a good crush-space between the first box and the interior box, with lots of padding in each box. It makes a huge difference.



I'm going down to the basement to get the final hatchers from this round and clean the incubator as best I can without disturbing the other 200 in there...so it'll be ready for tomorrow. I thought I had ducks hatching today...but apparently they're due the 2nd. Wish I'd set them just a day earlier! I don't even pay attention these days...just write the date on them and put them in. It's time for a break when it loses the fun that way! I'll be shutting down after this for at least a few months.

I wonder if I can survive...it's like trying to stop eating!!

Serama are 19 day eggs, not 21. So they don't set until the 13th anyway.

That is not always true, and I will be setting my Seramas tomorrow as soon as I get home from work. MOST bantams (Seramas included) can hatch early, but as a rule, in my opinion, one should count on 21 days just in case, just like any other chicken

we are all a bit confused it is getting late. Is the egg inhabited incubator an invention? If so we are making threads for each of the contest and will let everyone know what contest are open. Just a little tired right now. I'm so glad everyone is chat and having a great time. I will be having little visions of contests dancing in my head all night as I've been at this contest threads since about 7:30 pm and off and on all day. Count down starting just a little over 12 hours to set time, Unless you are on the West Coast and you have about 15 hours.

So get your party on.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go a head and spray the bator with bleach like I did last time or skip it. I finally got around to cleaning it a bit ago, but I normally like to double sanitize it.

Since I have eggs to set on time for the contest I may just wait and set the seramas on the 13th to give them some time to settle, but I haven't gotten them yet so I can't very well make plans for them till they get here. Speaking of which, when I get the box I plan on making a video and posting it on youtube (don't hold me to it, I might be so excited I forget

) and try to pull in some new members. If I do it I'll post a link on here so everyone can see it.

Just when I thought I was getting caught up here it would go again.

Barn Yard Bantams
French Black Copper Marans
Dominique
White Faced Spanish (not sure if Black, Blue or Splash)
and my own cross of Blue Laced Wyandotte over
Silver Laced Cuckoo Marans, these will be P2's

I'm wanting to incubate more eggs than what I have. I'd like to try store eggs but we don't have a traders Joe's around here and I haven't ever seen a carton of eggs marked fertile. Do you guys know of any other stores that may have them? Anything that I should look for?

I'm at least 10 pages behind, but I will answer this one. I sell my eggs to a little health food/ grocery store. I do not mark them as fertile, but most of mine probably are. (we have roos)
I have my farm name on the carton, so maybe you have a store that sells local farm fresh eggs. You could contact the farm to see if they are fertile. It's worth a try!

Well, I finally caught up! I'm still up, enjoying a bit of piece and quiet before the BIG DAY!

In less than 10 hours we will have a room full of home schooled 4-Hers looking at, learning to candle, and setting eggs (at 12 noon). I am so eggsited!
Thank you Jim (MrHeinz) for some beautifully packaged eggs. We had no cracks, and will find out tomorrow if any eggs were scrambled. Our box looked in amazing shape, and with a bit of luck (God's providence) they are all in great shape.

Our daughter has been collecting eggs, and has one special "smallest egg laid" to go in. She wants to see if it will hatch. This process has been so much fun already! Can't wait!
I am going to crazy in 21 days, waiting, waiting, waiting! Yippee!

Well, I hope I didn't ask any questions, because I'm sure I'd never find the answers anyone might have left, LOL, this thread moves so fast!!!

I got all my eggs, many with loose air sacks, hope they'll settle?? Anyway......ready to go, except I'm still not happy with my incubator. last night to tweak things I guess! No sleep for the wicked (me).
