Here is the worst one, the bumps are hard, even though they look wet in the second pic. Candling shows what I think is a detached air cell and no veining No eggtopsy yet.:

Oh my, ya that's not good. When I opened mine looking like that the yolk was just a loose mess inside.

I think those are tossers sorry..and I would do it soon!

These pictures you are posting are amazing. I have hatched a long time, never knew when the beak started. Thank you.

You are very welcome. I remember finding them when I was incubating my very first batch of chicks and was amazed at the changes the embryo goes through to become a chick.

Well. I finally gave the duck hen a better look, and her vent WASN'T alright. That egg sitting in my flat is almost definitely the culprit. It doesn't have blood on it, but her vent was inside out, though only minimally. Considering that she was in good health (besides being dead), I have to assume that this little egg did her in. I'll be setting it myself, to give it the best chance at life. Now I feel bad. I was upset that the girls were giving me a strike. She gave her egg but died in the process of fullfilling my request.

I just hate CL spam emails. I have 3 adds (1 I just placed and 2 that I renewed), 2 for chicks and 1 for ducklings that are about to hatch. I was out doing some shopping and get back to find 2 responses to my adds in my inbox. I open them up and they are those stupid ones that have part of the add in them with a ? after it. And then I find 3 more in my spam folder. I got excited for nothing.
