Setting 32 more eggs. I believe after this, I won't be collecting anymore of my own chicken eggs for hatching. So, I have BCM, D'Uccles and sebastopol eggs coming, then button quail eggs, and then the only thing I'll be hatching from here is the pekin duck eggs. I am just trying to think of how I am going to seperate everything, lol. I'm going to have to see if I can find those plastic baskets at the dollar tree and get a few of them, so that I can keep everyone seperate as they hatch. Looks like I'll be hitting the auction here after the new year, to sell off the little brahma mixes I accidentally hatched and any leghorn males (no point in butchering them, if you ask me).

It's okay. So many fractured air cells... I'm using a mist of water with an essential oil blend in it that kills bacteria, viruses, etc. I had 1 blood ring, and it was a scratched, poopy egg. The rest are just from poor handling in shipping =/ Usually I have about 25% blood rings/bacteria kills, so I'm happy the mist is working... but none too pleased with the Postal peeps!

That sounds like a really good thing.... what essential oil do you use?

My brother and his son wrote a Christain Sci-Fi novel called "Flight of the Angels". Great book if anyone is interested... You can get it on Amazon. Paperback or kindle edition... I just sold some chicks! Made $30, yay

. 10 RIR chicks, 1 OE, and 1 BCM. I got some eggs today that I won on ebay. They are swedish flower hens and won them for only $1 (plus $15 shipping). It was for 6 but they sent 8. All the air cells are busted, but no cracks at least. I hope I end up with a few hatching.
