My one egg that pipped this morning has a bigger hole now but no zipping. I wonder if it is waiting for midnight?

LOL..of course, that means you "get" to wait up until then, watch it hatch, at the same time you are celebrating by banging on the pan outside your front door to make noise for bringing the new year in. :)
That's what I do..I have banged on pans since I was a kid. A fun tradition, makes a great noise, and oh, of course, the yelling of Happy New Year! :D

Thanks, I really appreciate it. The egg in the front left has just started to zip, so he'll be out soooo close to midnight. I was like 'noooo!' When I learned about the party /p.
I'm watching!!! But don't count on me, 'cause I'm in n out o here ;)
I'm in the south so tomorrow we will most likely be eating greens, black eyes, corn bread, and maybe chicken. That's what we do every year and it never gets old.

Hubby is from Texas, we have the black eye'd peas a 'cookin and greens, I think corn bread is an excellent idea, gotta whip some up now!
Your supposed to go bawk bawk bawk. softly to encourage hatching. Have you ever seen the doc My life as a turkey. Just lovely, I watched it two times and loved it both times

Looks good, gonna bookmark it!
I finally found everyone, they are in the paypal swap area, but they are going to miss the final opportune post. We won't. Well I can't win, I know the number.
LOL, no money left, can't go there

Happy New Year to you too!!! May we all have good health and happiness!!!

Looking mighty fine 409!
Just when you are ready to give up ... you'll look again and voila! Pip!
Yes it is! And now we have a bigger hole and a beak! But there haven't been any other external pips yet ... my Marans must be sleeping.

Yay! And that's gonna be a nice Treasure Chestabator!
Won't be long!!

So we were looking into the bator, the one shell that is in there has something jelly like in the bottom.
The chick is out and no blood or anything around it.
Is this normal? If this is the yolk, it was not all absorbed. but it looks like skin, is it just the inner egg membrane?
Remember this is our first hatch, and we are learning, so sorry for the awkwardness of this question.
All the way out. I have one that is still in the egg curled up, no top, I don't think it is going to make it.
