5 toes

I'm afraid to ask what "yuvpator" means; it sounds ominous!

We name ours chicks as we feel, or names so for;

1. Fredderick "the loud Pheasant"
2. Peck - off the cartoon Barnyard
3. Dawg (Dog) - My son says he sounds like a dog.
4. Yevpator - My wife named this one, she's Russian
5. Mafunganut aka "Nutty" my son named this one (Phasant)
6. Vulture - it's looks like one.

we have four that pipped so we are waiting to see our Cochin Frizzles.

Since you mention it, Favs also have partially feathered legs. [I must have too much time on my hands this morning; I'd better get to work.

] And please ignore the earlier comment about Dorks having feathers; I haven't had my morning coffee yet.

So, add Faverolle to the list. Is there a connection in the Faverolle background as there is with the Dorking?

I guess that means the Dorking came first?

My point, of course, is that if a chicken is not supposed to have five toes according to standard then what you got is not standard.

I'm hoping you did not pay a lot of money for something that was supposed to be standard.

From the seller's website:

Barnyard mix includes Light Brahma, Silkies, sizzles, Frizzles, Lavender cochins, Welsummer, Cuckoo marnas, rhode island reds.

Then, lists the Frizzled Cochins separate. BUT some of the same birds are pictured in both categories?

Yevpator is the Name of the founder of my wife's home town, Yevpatorya, Ukraine on the Black Sea. We spendt the month of June there.

Sounds like you just need to get in touch with the seller and let them know what's happened. Maybe they will be understanding and make it right. It would be frustrating not to get what you ordered. I'm sure you can sell the chicks you hatched. Many people love those so ugly they're cute Showgirls.

I did and they did not attempt to make it right and made it seem like it was my fault that they were mixed. Oh well.
