5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

Most of you know this, I'm sure, but for those that haven't read it yet... Ron has the link in his signature to Sally Sunshines article Hatching 101 (including shipped eggs). It is an absolute must read for beginners (and pros as well). I reference it constantly throughout a hatch.

That article is awesome! I read it through several times before setting my first batch of eggs and still refer back to it regularly.

Oh my gosh, I can't keep up with this thread! It's growing by leaps and bounds!

I have nothing much else to do but look for entertainment on here.

I'd like to be out building more on my coop/barn but the weather is just too nasty out right now. I talk to and play with my baby chickies but they'd rather I left them alone.

I stare in the window of the incubator at the duck eggs. But then I start to feel like a creepy duck stalker.... So I just come and be a forum stalker instead!

I know what you mean. I keep watching the eggs in my 2 incubators with anticipation too! Weather is nasty cold here and overcast currently.

I am freaking out! I have really bad chicken fever and want to incubate now! I want blue marans and ameraucanas and frizzles and silkies and olive eggers and Easter eggers and Phoenix's and polish and Cochins and d'Uccle and Japanese bantams and lavender and chocolate orpington and any other blue chickens!!!!! Help! I have problems

I understand. I usually want all of the rare ones too.

Crele Orpingtons? They are amazing looking....
