I just cracked open 2 trader joes "fertile" eggs and I didn't see a bullseye

. I didn't really want to open all of them but......

Weighing and tracking weight loss is recommended for Dark egg even if they are not shipped.

If anyone has a spread sheet template with the formula for calculating percent of weight loss, please post it on the thread.

Aw man. I was wondering how reliable they were and was feeling jealous about the fact we don't have any such place near me!

My dear cousin just gifted me an order of hatching eggs from papabrooder I'M SO EXCITED.
I have the coolest cousin in the universe, really I do.
Now to begin the nail biting to see if the eggs make it here, from CA to TN, in this weather, and in hatchable condition.
I'm sooooo excited.

Now to go tell the long suffering, had to walk up the hill in the ice storm b/c the tractor had a flat tire today DH that I'm going to be hatching more eggs...anyone want to tell him for me (cousin backed out on that part of things)....

Gotta go get that incubator cleaned and ready, maybe the DH won't notice ;>

But did he have to walk uphill BOTH ways ... and kill a grizzly bear with a loose leaf notebook?

Maybe if you have him some nice hot cocoa to thaw him out he won't even notice when you tell him you're hatching eggs.

If you strike out there, try natural foods stores. I was wildly surprised one day to see eggs at one near us that had eggs labeled as fertile eggs in the fridge. Apparently here, if they are fertile or you were running a rooster in there, you are supposed to label them as such..

@SoManyHats....so that might be something to try too, if we can't collect enough eggs here...Common Grounds in Fredericmight other local health food/natural food stores in the area might have eggs that are fertile...
