Are you joining the hatch a long?

I am not sure

I posed in the maryland thread and looked on craigslist and i don't know where to get local eggs here. I am thinking about trying trader joe eggs

Last year the contests were madness don't wish that on ron!!! We want him to do this again.

call up the Dairy(Why are eggs in the Dairy section?) and find out when the egg delivery comes in. Buy the freshest cartons and get as many as will fit in your incubator. Make sure they are room temp and as soon as they are incubate them, even if that is on Tuesday or Thursday.

The eggs need to say Fertile on them.

Most of the time only 2 to 4 per dozen will develop so you will be able to take out a bunch of eggs on Day 7.

Scramble them and feed them to the chickens or other animals in your house.

Last year there was too many contests and the wrong help running them

I wasnt part of the NYDH last year so I didn't realize all the contests were unorganized or chaotic or crazy. Your right I don't wish that on Ron or any of us.

Sometimes a few contests are fun though. Only on BYC can we get offered the chance to win a few hatching eggs then at home we are jumping for joy like we have the chance to win the lottery while our families shakes their heads at us lol.

I see that you posted for Baltimore/Ellicott City. I am in Delta, Pa. Tuesday I'll be meeting up with Blarney, so if you feel like riding out to Delta, I can pick up some eggs for you.

LOL. My other half has to put up with that every time I have a new egg. Forget winning a contest.
