The shells must be thicker or harder to see into.Hi everyone. I'm loving all the info. on here. I do have a couple questions. Should I worry that with some of my eggs I can't see an air cell? They are dark to see into, but the other eggs that are the same breed I can see just fine. Are the darker ones not developing or is it just hard to see?
Ok. Thank you. I plan to just leave them because last time I hatched i culled some that I thought were dark nand dead and there were baby chicks in them. The shells must be thicker or harder to see into.
Make sure you do not have them up side down though. I have done that before. Sometimes it is hard to tell. Check the other end for an air cell.
I understand the wait. These next two weeks are going to last forever, but it's so nice to have a break. My ladies finished up there last day of school today until next year.... I am done with work until January 2nd, and now I am facing the rest of the incubation with nothing to distract me!!I hope these next few weeks go fast. I found myself pacing today thinking about those eggs. LOL I never would have thought it would be like this.
So much fun!!![]()
sure sounds like a great idea. I have some heritage rhode island red eggs in north east tx. when he comes through I could send some. they will do well because he will not slam and drop them like the post office does.Morning' fellow chicken addicts! I have a couple questions.
My hubs is an OTR truck driver so he goes all over. We live in rural Georgia so getting eggs, chicks, etc is pretty limited. If he were to pick up chicks and bring them home would they do okay? And if he's in y'all's area would you be willing to meet him? Since he obviously can't drive a semi most places not on a main road.
