I scoffed when it was suggested but a feather duster works pretty well as a surrogate mom/friend.
Yeah those pics of blood rings was from my WLH love looking into her eggs. The GCM's are going to be olive eggers cant wait to see how well they are can be sexed at hatch. Really waiting for my barred rocks to start laying and see about sexing those.
Does anyone use those yellow bators I see off e-bay and amazon http://www.amazon.com/Sanven-Automa...UTF8&qid=1387565717&sr=8-7&keywords=incubator I see them all the time when I go to look for bators but never heard of anyone using one.
Solid Crisco or Vaseline both work well. Just rub them on a couple times per week until you see improvement. The mites smother pretty quickly but it will take a while for the damaged skin to flake off & regrow.
Can anyone tell me if this is effective for scaly leg mites too? I just don't seem to be able to get rid of it - if I clear it up it comes right back.
Thanks
I'm headed to the feed store to see if they have any chicks, if not I'm on a mission to get a small mirror and a feather dusterFor the little lone chick, if you can't get a friend -- set up a small mirror behind the food dish, so when the chick eats it sees another chick eating too, the chicks seeing each other eat encourages them to eat enough food. Just be sure the food is NOT reflected in the mirror from the chick's point-of-view or it can get confused, peck the mirror & go hungry. Good Luck for your cutie![]()
