Cute picture!

I was panicking last night... read the posts, thought mine were late, imagined eggs were dead...
then realized they aren't even due until midnight tomorrow night...

Woo hoo!
I have had 14 hatch out of 31. I think that is it. Still don't know how many under my broody.
Hi h2oratt, Are you going to be setting more? I am waiting for my incubator to free up. There is one little pokey one in there yet. Congrats on the 14 chicks!

Oh bummer, I'm sorry. That really stinks.

10 hatches so far and still more pips
Woo hoo! Congrats and have fun!

Out of 18, I now have 5 rocks, 6 beautiful blue silkies, 1 rock that is still pipped and not zipped (hurry up, I need my incubator.), and yep, I did have 1 die from rolling over wrong, and 5 that never pipped.

I'm confused about that. 3 of the 5 died earlier, maybe at lockdown, and maybe even earlier. (I know that could happen in a nest too.)
But, the last two are from the same rooster/hen combo, and they both looked fully developed, yolk sac drawn in, heads turned and ready to internally pip, but no internal pip. They did have big vaulted skulls, and looked really nice, but no internal pip. I wonder why. I had a couple from the same rooster/hen combo do that last time too.

No signs from my 5 turkey eggs that they will be joining us today (official hatch date is tomorrow) but I was hoping.. never hatched turkeys before so want to know I didn't mess it up...

My first chick hatched last night around 10 pm, approximately 1/2 day early. The next three hatched out around 8 am. So far I have 8 out of the eggs and several zipping and most have pipped. It appears my incubator temps are nearly perfect this time around, really glad I picked up a new one!

First one out was blue! I like to let them imprint on my dog when they hatch so they know she isn't a threat.
