I've seen people say Ameraucana's are hard to tell early one, but if anyone has any guesses, I'd love to hear them!

I'm pretty sure Gemini is a cockerel. He has been the largest since they hatched, and his voice is lower than the others. His comb started turning red last week, and is starting to grow larger than the other two.

Luna I thought would be a pullet, but in the 2-3 days her comb has started to turn reddish. Out of the four that I hatched, she was always in the middle, weight wise. (Luna gave me a hard time when I was trying to get a close up of her comb, I did the best I could!)

Nebula has been the smallest since hatch. No red or pink on her comb yet, but she has been growing the most hackle feathers!

Any thoughts? Or do I just need to be more patient?

It is a little early, but Luna and Gemini are showing a darker comb at a much earlier rate, which is showing for a greater chance in them being cockerels. Again a little early to be fully correct lol. But based on observations here.

My guess is that luna and Gemini are roos based on the color and size of the combs at this age, but Nebula is a pullet. Beautiful birds!! 😁
Thanks for the input! I really had my fingers crossed for at least two pullets out of the batch... guess I'll just have to order more eggs!

Definitely what I'm leaning towards as well... thanks!
