Has anyone out there used these plastic nesting pads? We recently had a mile problem, in fact we are still working on getting it cleared up, but it's come a long ways.

I'm trying to do something other than shavings because a couple of our hens sneeze from the dust and if I can find something reuseable that would save a ton of money.

If you have some plastic-y type feed bags lying around, a free option would be to fold those up to line the bottom of the nest box (as seen in the middle box below). They can be wiped clean or simply tossed if too soiled. I put shavings on top but that's optional.

We use the plastic nest box liners for our boxes. I find they do stay cleaner...eggs too! Also, I no longer have broken eggs as the liner cushions the egg at drop.
I will use these as long as I have hens! They are worth the $$$.
