I couldn’t wait to share.. at almost 11 weeks the LAVENDER IS A HEN per our vet!

Her comb/wattle basically stopped growing at the last picture and lost any “red” it

I wouldn't get too excited just yet

Congrats! So happy she’s a she!

Now I’m just over here staring at my favorite cockerel and thinking there’s a chance he’ll suddenly be a girl.

Today…. Anything is possible but orpingtons seem to grow much faster in size than some — this girl is huge

I definitely thought she was a he for a long time — she grew twice as fast as my other breeds & is quite large!
