4, 5 and 6 all give me pause -- 1, 2 and 3 all look to be pullets at this point.
Thank you and I completely agree. I am trying hard not to play favorites, because if they turn out to be roos we're making them dinner, but I do love this bird. When she was a chick, my two year old noticed that it had a reddish (but still yellow fluff) head and said, "Reddy!" That has been her name ever since. Each of the birds I pictured I would like to be hens that stay with us for years.Wow, what a wonderfully unique bird!
That's my guess too. 1,2&3 pullets, 5 unsure, 4&6 likely cockerels.
x2The two black birds in this shot look to be cockerels. The combs are getting pink and they have the 'rooster' red coming in on the shoulders.
