Recycled paper pellet bedding/litter. Has worked great in the brooder. Okay what's your vote on the chicks? Does my SLW look like your hen? How do you tell?

Thats why I was curious as to where she came from. It is just a genetic throwback that pops up from time to time. It just is popping out more and more these days. I think you have SLW hen

By the shiny, pointed feathers in his neck and the wattles I'd guess Bessie is a rooster. Look at his back just before the tail. There will likely be the same pointy, shiney feathers there too.
