ok can someone tell me why the chicks are so darn mezmerizing to watch I go to check on them and end up sitting and watching them for an hour.....

and why do I keep looking up on ebay for eggs to hatch hrmmm?

Update on #4: I got the stuff off, and it still seems weak, but maybe it's just a little behind.

If the goop was yolk sack, then it had ruptured bc it was just a hard, dry, orange glob when I removed it.

Im still waiting, so far no chicks here. My broody hasn't budged and wont allow me to look under her. I might lift her off the nest tomorrow to see whats going on but for now Im trying to be patient and don't want to disturb her or her eggs. Today was hatch day for me so Im trying not to rush it.

Two more Australorps are out and I may have a pip on one of the three eggs remaining!

Four so far.

The Trader Joes eggs are sitting pretty but day 21 is not until tomorrow.
