6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

No way! He's in this photo? Which one..this is great news! Is it the one sitting on it's butt on the top left?

Nope. He's the one in profile, 3 up from the right corner. He hardly even has a head tilt now. If he gets upset, like when the lights went out last night, then he goes into the head back, flipping around stuff. But mostly he runs around and acts pretty normal. He always seems to be in the middle of the food dish.

This is great news!! Those vitamins really worked well. So glad he has joined the group!

It is so interesting watching the feathers start to come in...absolutely adorable! He is doing pretty good on his own. We put a mirror in as well as a few rocks to give him stuff to play with. He enjoys standing on the rocks and peeping at himself in the mirror. I have found two silkie chicks which were born this past week-end, so basically same age as him and will pick them up on the 17/18. So he will have 2 friends in a 1.5 weeks. And it looks like a found some bantam cochin eggs that I can pick-up locally so no wonky air cells on the next hatch. Chicken life is good here!

Oooh, the larger the broody hen, the more eggs you can put under her.  :)
oh my goodness if I didn't know better I'd think your my friend! She has two gorgeous hens that are big enough to have at least twenty eggs under her. My friend said conservatively she could set fourth eggs under the two girls who go broody at the drop of a hat!
