good plan yeah I only hatch a small batchAs long as you incubate in a room with central heat. And have in mind a place to keep them warm til spring it would be ok. I have to warn you that deep drops in temperature will give you major problems with you're hatch. My first batch only made it half way because our cabin only has space heaters and they could not keep up with the cold nights. I'm moving my second hatch to warmer acomadations for the hatch along. I live in central Texas so spring is coming around valentines day. You might consider only hatching a few chicks so its easier to winter all of them. They grow really fast. What looked like plenty of room in the start won't look that way when their a few months old.
