Btw, the original post says that we should set chicken eggs on 12/11/14. However, shouldn't we actually start setting them on 12/10/14 since it takes time for them to get up to temp? Or am I calculating wrong?
Just want to clarify for new hatchers and fairly new hatchers like myself.
And some tips would be appreciated as I have yet to have a full clutch hatch. My hatch rate is always very low.
For this last clutch though, I'm sure the problem was the loss of heat due to frozen gas lines for a night and most of a day and then a spike to 108 degrees the next day due to panic and the compulsion to turn the dial after the freeze. This time, also, I have a hygrometer. I underestimated the importance of humidity in the past.
