I hope the pm works better this year...

The egg farmer that I hatch for bought two of the big premier1 plates last year. They are very well mad and he liked them.

I am going to joining the party too! ... I got my incubator ready and my eggs should arrive next week. . My kids and I (specially me) are really excited about new chicks!!!!.. I got my eggs from Papas Poultry!.. I am so excited! .. this will be my first time hatching.. So try to to keep up with all of you guys!
I really get excited about the babies hatching too. During the incubation period though I often think I'm crazy for trying to hatch so many at once.
1 week down, 1 week to go. Anyone in Dallas gonna need some chicks? :)
400
Wow very lot if eggs. You gonna hatch all them? I guess I'll be putting in 96 myself. That is what one tray of my incubator hold turn the egg trays.

Cute chicks.. Back several posts I posted a picture of a pullet (Birchen rose combed Naked Neck) from last years New Years Day Hatch-A-Long.

what percentage of NN chick do you get?  I just hatched NN / brahmas   hatch 16 chicks   only 6 NN chicks.

I don't think you were actually talking to me, I hatched 14 from my last hatch. I got 9 out of the 14 that were Baked Neck.

That us actually better odds than I have had with NN to NN matings. I believe that my NN stick are only carting one NN gene.

I've got a NN rooster in with some cross bred hens and have eggs that I'm setting from them for the HAL. I also have a son of this NN rooster not naked neck in with some NN hens. I'll see what the results are from these matings.

I am hatching silkies for the first time. Hatch day is monday but they have already pipped. My standard eggs are all still whole except for some very small test barred rock eggs and one of those has pipped. I'm a little worried that they are premature? Is this normal or was my temp too high? I have made it very dark, hoping to slow things down, bit what should I do?

Oh, and I have 10 bbs ameraucana eggs collected for the hatch a nn long!! I can't decide if I am going to set the 30+\《 F1 EE yet. Does anyone know how well they sell? They are asst pure breed brown egg layers under Blue Ameraucana roo.

It is likely normal--silikes often hatch at least a day early.

Post pictures!
