I have found some RIR eggs to set! Even on Craig's list it was hard finding eggs this time. Of course if you wanted to have a war fortune sunk up they are everywhere for sale.

I get to candle the duck eggs that I set last week tonight. Hopefully everything is going well with those. Otherwise I may already be in the running for worst hatch.

Thought I'd try to temp you. Just hatched these in the picture and I swore I was going to hatch anymore this year 1/2 NN 1/2 golden brahma. In the house again.

I hope my incubator looks like that Jan 1. What humidity do you shoot for the first 18 days to get those results? That is really inspiring!

It stays ABOUT 37.5 c. think that convert to 99.5. I don't add any water until day 18 either. It is cold in my house to. I haven't turned the heaters on yet. I just put another blanket on... LOL my chihuahuas sleep under the covers and heat things up....
No frost here in my part of the California. Frost equals electric blanket.
I think my hens are on strike now !! They hate the cold and rain... But I already collected enough eggs to play NYH 2014 Praying for a few more before tomorrow at noon.

I'm joining the thread. I don't think I'll get into the competition though. Just a personal preference. I'm setting a bit early as I plan to have eggs hatching on Weds this breeding season.
