6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

Welcome!

I will add you to the member list.

You are also entered into the hatch rate contests.
Thank you! It is her first clutch, so I am interested to see what her hatch rate is myself! It's my first time hatching or brooding, taking care of a broody? Dunno what to call it, but I am dying of nervous!

We have a prize for contest number 4!

4. Number of eggs set for Hatch a Long
Prize: chicken wood cuts courtesy of @Cynthia12

Click here and post your guess for the total number of eggs set. Do not go back and edit the number and only enter once. The contest is open from now until Midnight Sunday 12/14 Winner will be announced by Tuesday. Open to all BYC Members.

These are the little hen and roo...made of wood...not the clock. :p

Okay people remember, at midnight on 1/1/15 we have to all be in front of our incubators or broodies and at the stroke of midnight we have to scream "HAPPY NEW YEAR" as long as we can. That way we can scare the chicks right out of their eggs!

Don't worry, they'll love you for it.

That's a thought, and something I haven't tried yet..and I thought..that I had thought, of everything. lol...

I would REALLY LOVE to see pictures of the broody hen hatchers hens sitting...pleeeaseee??? I just hatched five silkies just so I could have real live hen hatches!!! I ALWAYS use an incubator!

Sitting hens or duck pictures please!!!

I would post a picture of my eggs for the hatch along but they look the same as they did yesterday... :/

Yeah, I know it's a scary name for a turkey but hey, I once had an iguana named King Arthor Zachariah Mathias Montomery Van Pelt of the Long Island Van Pelts, of course. lol

Oh wait, you meant the lit cigarette part.

Yep. For the next 3 weeks we get to watch eggs just sitting there looking like eggs, no matter how much we beg and cajole them to do SOMEthing.
