6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

Someone posted that they did not have room for the spot check in their Ocatgon 20. See, the probe goes down the vent hole! I would take it out now though--try to get as much air flow at hatch as possible. All vents pulled and open!
That was me! And what I get for reading the fine print on the website (that the SpotCheck is "not compatible with the Octagon 20 Eco"). I'm going to order one when I call to get the foam dividers for the bars (which they do carry but you have to email or call since they are not on the US website).

oh no!! mine is up to 58% ....if it stabilizes and doesnt move more in 30 minutes I will add the wick just not sure if should do paper towel or cotton t shirt wick, I have a sponge in my container which I have redydrated and controled with the lid since started incubating......

I had condensation on the glass so let's guess 80 or so....

30 more minutes to lock down!

ron do you think I should use papertowel instead of cotton tshirt for a wick?

I would use the paper towel for a wick. It works very will for raising humidity.

I really need to find something that does good temp and humidity readings.. I have some reg thermos for temps three of them and a home depot temp humidity gage the humidit works but the temp is off by like 5 degree's I just a manual humidity and temp thermo in it today to double check the digital humidity reader

ok...........should I place on wire under egg cartoon or in the wired off air with an end in the container to wick moister? I ask because if I put the paper towel on the wire wont the humdity dampen it and allow it to form more humdity? sorry hope that makes sense.....sometimes this medium is frustrating for me to explain physical stuff (which is why I often ask twice to make sure I understood what was ment not what I read)
