So Sorry! At least you know that you can hatch them from other hatches. Losing power a few times during incubation isn't a good thing for sure!I set 8. I know one was infertile. The other 7 died during development ;(

Is this the one that had the splayed leg? lol..I remember I've had a couple out in the yard that I called ~ Mouth.
Well, he's been in with the others for more than 24 hours and while he is easy to pick out, they're not picking on him - though he gets run over a lot - and he's trying to keep up/imitate them! Maybe he'll pull through after all... it took about half a dozen attempts to integrate him before it "worked," and I am SO GLAD they're all together!!!
He has been dubbed "Mouth" by my 10 yo son, lol.
Cute! Looks like a barred rock up front. Hey, you have some babies, 8 is a lot to me.
This makes me sad to see..not sure it can even be a pet..has anyone ever kept a chick with wry neck this bad before? Any suggestions? I had one come in the mail to me earlier this year..it was this bad. I worked with it for a while, and I just couldn't see any improvement. :/

What a doll face this little one has.
He can straighten it out. It's much better than before. He eats, can get up and walk around. Sometimes he flips over, but gets up on his own. If I wasn't seeing improvement, I'd cull him. I should have anyway, but...I need to harden up a bit. I may have to ask someone to cull this one for me if it comes to that. I tend to get attached to the underdogs. It's probably why I'm fairly hands off my young birds. Sigh.
what's wrong with her?..
