6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I don't get it....cary, which is a town about 20 minutes from me allows chickens; up to 5 hens, in the neighborhood. if cary allows this why cant my area? its weird....even with this much land.

I found an online petition with 75 signatures....do I sign it and try and find more petitions? im not exactly sure what to address...I want the chickens but the people around me may not want them around.

Get rid of the people. >.>

Free eggs do make for good neighbors. Ask them and see what they say... if they don't mind, I say do it, whether or not the law "permits" you to do so. The only time I've ever heard anyone have a run in with the chicken-law is when a neighbor complained.

If your neighbors are cool with it, I say go for it!!!

What a great job @blackgoat .

Is there a website with other felted chickens you sell?
Thanks :) I actually don't have any other felted chickens right now. I do have an etsy site, https://www.etsy.com/shop/DragooCreations and was thinking if chickens would sell well, and thinking of putting some up there sometime soon.

Here is a link to some other felted stuff I've done:
http://www.tadjadragoo.com/sculptures.html

And, I'm always willing to do commissions, I'm going to make a Silkie for @valleychicks .

I cant get over my birds I hatched on Christmas for my new breeding program. theyre so gorgeous. it makes me so upset that I will have to sell them all now because of me moving.

this was the yellow chick, a rooster

the black chick, a hen.

AND to make matters worse about selling the chooks, I went to check the chickens today and saw pumpkins head was swollen from fluid from her head down to her neck. when she hatched her mom pecked her ear, causing her to bust her eardrum and a lump grew from the fact. my friend had said it could have ruptured on her but I have no idea! when I touch her head its squishy and soft and she flinches if I get closer to her ear. im not sure what this is, and if its any bacteria I cant sell my chooks to anyone! could anyone please help?

THIS IS CRAZY I have no idea what is going on!

When that happens to silkies, they are given aspirin.

@chiqita might be able to help you.
