7th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2016 Hatch-A-Long

Make sure the SFH are friendly with the faverolles.
Why wouldn't they be?

I know my SFH can be tough on new additions to the established flock, but I have never had a problem raising them with other breeds.

favorelles have a tendency to be push overs. I have seen the get beaten up by other breeds.

I'm in! Though I may be a contender in the worst hatch rate contest. This will be a fertility check. Everyone was separated into their breeding pens a couple of months ago, then they started molting. I've been getting 2 eggs a day for a couple of weeks now

I'll be hatching Silkies and Sizzles (hopefully)

This is one of my frizzles that I hatched for the Halloween Hatch A Long. Taken a few weeks ago. Getting the top frizzies now. :)

I do not think so. Not that many Ducks due to egg laying in the winter.

Never an Emu either....

Sweet... I get to have a first of something, lol... :D ;)

I don't understand. Ducks are just as good as laying as chickens. And I was honestly going to hatch emu. Not that I would have kept them long. But I thought about it. I have someone that would love the meat.

Not Call ducks... they are very much seasonal layers... and is rare for them to be laying this late... :)
