Oooo, I love me a spalsh silkie, or frizzle or sizzle, or SG. !! Very pretty!

LL

I'm going to be hatching silkies too, just not my own..I wish. No rooster. Have a friend that will have the silkies, frizzle, or SG. Can't wait to see what I get. Here are a couple of photos of my silkies in the past.
First, a little boy frizzle.

I just trimmed her eyes, poor thing couldn't see.

This one's too.

One of my SG boys. A nice Paint. He had to go to a friend. Rooster.

I was out collecting my eggs and a chicken pegged me on the back with poop. I'm guessing that it was like there aren't any eggs in here go away! They didn't lay anything today so I'm up to 2 chicken eggs and 7 quail eggs.
I was taking a hen out to the flock last night from the Garage hospital cage--she has recovered from a dog attack--and she left me a present inside my crok before I could get in on before going outside--Silly chicken!

Say what?

They should get along fine then!

I am banking on it! I love my many ladies and my hansome roo. He tends to keep everyone in order.

From my experience, SFH are quite sweet, but are sticklers for pecking order in an established flock. Once everyone knows their place, they all do fine.

My swedes are the same. They seem to adhere to a very strict etiquette amongst the flock. No one has ever been brutalized thus far, just a hardy bum-feather-tweak that result in the order-breaking hen flying off with no further consequence.
