I was checking an egg once to see if it was still going. I put it up to my ear to see if I could hear peeping, and it pipped in my ear!

New SFH baby an entire day early! I've got more SFH's, marans and Isabelle Leghorns pipping!!!
It's amazing how having the bator calibrated and at the right temperature changes things...duh!

So exciting for you!!!! I am in such anticipation waiting and watching, with my 7 year old grandson (who is tuckered out from all the excitement today lol!), to see when any of the others will hatch. yay!!!! your baby is beautiful!!!

We've got a big storm coming through our part of Kansas tonight. Took the incubator to a friends house. They have a generator. Grabbed our chicks and am taking them to pops house in case power goes out. They have a fire place. Wish us luck they are thinking 9 inches mixed sleet rain and snow.
