My aunt just called me and she said I had a chick hatch sometime around 530 this morning..... I can't wait to get home and see it!!! I am on my way now!

I have 2 pips, but that's it, still waiting for my silkie eggs to hatch!

A lot of people are hatching silkies this HAL. :Falcons on babies!

I've Got My First Baby In The Incubator! I think there are also two more pips along with it! How long does it usually take for them to dry?

I moved the 3 to the brooder and candled the remaining eggs really quick and all the rest have internal pips!! I'm so so so happy! I thought maybe I lost them.

They will fluff out in two to three hours.
I leave mine in the hatch bator for at least 24 hours, just to make sure they are getting around okay, and have truly dried.

New chicks will be fine for 24-48 hours. They have lots of fluids and nourishment from absorbing the yolk. Let them be!

Good morning everyone! Happy New Year!! Congratulations on all the new chicks and pips!!

I have family watching my chicks. Last update, we had #4 hatch around 9 pm, and a new pip at 10. I havent heard from anyone yet today. I'm hoping for 3 more babies!!
