8 month old chicken breed?

I can't look at a chicken and say it is the same breed if they don't have the same color feathers. @CHlCKEN you might be able but i'm not....
See but they aren't a breed. "Easter Egger" is simply a catagory for mutts who are likely to lay colored eggs. For example:

Here is my chicken Scary, she is an Easter Egger.

Here is my chicken Lavender, she is an EE.

Even though they are obviously not the same mix they are still both Easter Eggers.

She is 100% an EE.

I don't know how you've never seen an EE with cheeks, they are one of the most common features. Although not all have them.

I have only had Rirs before. this time I got a mix because its all they had. the place i got my chickens the first flock shutdown when the great chicken quarantine happened here in california due to new castles was spreading killing millions of birds. her main thing was chickens and it kinda made her go bust. this time i got then from a horse feed store.

That is okay! Hopefully I didn’t make you feel bad. after this thread I bet you’ll be able to identify EEs like a pro  theres nothing to worry about if you can’t yet.

I agree with all the posts above mine on EE info

no not at all. i had to copy paste your name because you don't show in the @ menu
and that caused my letters to be bold.

Female olive eggers aren't the same as EEs, as they are guaranteed to lay olive because they are crossed from a dark layer (usually marans) and a blue layer (usually ameraucana or legbar).
I thought they were different because of the eggs they lay and how they were bred, but I had so many people telling me they were the same. Mostly people in chicken groups on FB. And I’m new to keeping chickens, these people weren’t, so I just figured they knew more than I did.

Olive Eggers are a specific type of Easter Eggers. Olive Eggers a mix of a dark layer, like Maran or Welsummer, and a blue egger like Ameraucana's or Cream Legbars.
