Thank you, I think they are really pretty also.
Its 48 degrees here today, and I am loving it, the chickens are too. I have a bunch of babies also, only have the newest ones in the house, LOL... last weekend's hatch and this weekend's also. I have hatches due ever weekend now for a while. Gotta huge group of silkie eggs to go in tonight, along with some porcelain booted and lavender d'uccles... a few aruacana. I have gotten two eggs from my lavender silkie pen, I can't wait to get some babies from them. I seen the pics of your splits, they are too cute!

I gotta tell y'all - I won Donna Marie's auction for porcelain d'uccle eggs several weeks back. The eggs got stuck in transit for SIX DAYS during our back-to-back blizzards. And we're talking about a 100 year storm here - we got about 3 1/2 feet of snow in less than a week, the winds were howling, and temps were as cold as I'd ever felt here.

After all these eggs had gone thru in shipping, I gotta admit, I was not hopeful that any would even develop, never mind actually make it to hatching. But this morning I woke up to FIVE of the cutest bouncing baby chicks I've EVER seen, and I've got one more that is zipping as we speak!!! YAY!!!

Donna Marie - I've GOT to talk to you about your lavender d'uccles!!! But maybe we can plan the shipping differently this time???

LOL!

I hope we don't see another snow like that for another 100 years... I am so glad they did so well for you, you done a fine job incubating them! The lavs are starting to lay pretty well, they are pullets so the eggs are small but hatch out very strong chicks.
