Crowed for the first time yesterday. Reason: tried to pick her/him up and chicken got scared. So definitely a cockerel you think?

If you've seen the bird crow, I am quite sure it's a cockerel.

If your area has a rule against roosters, they may not care what gender the bird really is--crowing might be enough to violate the rule.

If you want a different kind of opinion, you could send some feathers off for DNA sex testing.

I've used this place once--they were right on both birds. Other places exist.
Personally, I think it would be a waste of money because I'm sure your bird is male, but it's really up to you

I messaged the hatchery where I got him, and they just responded saying that he’s a boy... I guess you’re correct... thank you for helping me
