80 degree coop in hot weather !!!!

If the interior of the coop is hotter than the outside air on a warm, sunny day then you need more ventilation, preferably as high up close to the roof as possible because heat and ammonia both rise.

The usual guidelines for ventilation are 1 square foot per adult, standard-size hen.

I would add ventilation and try icing their water when it gets hot.

80 isn't bad. I don't know where all the ventilation is in your coop, but I can only see 1 louvered vent in the photo.

yes, that vent was there from when the coop didn't have the add on. We have 2 other vents and a window that opens that aren't in the picture. I also keep the door open on nice days so their airflow.

x2. It'd be great to see all the ventilation you have on the coop to get a better idea if it's enough. Or consider doing a temperature test... if your coop is well ventilated and not sitting in direct sun, it should be about the same temperature inside and out.
