I wasn't sure I wanted to join this thing but my unrelated pullets eggs are huge (60-70 grams) and I thought it best to get some offspring before something happens to them.

Ok, I finally did my photo shoot of my babies after they all fluffed up. I can't help it. I like taking photos of the babies. They don't stay babies for long. All 14 doing well. Even the one that had to sit in a cup for a day and a half. That foot was pretty bad. It's now walking around really well. Actually..running around. Looks like I have to trim someones little tush. Silkie babies..usually have to do a few. I call this last one .. Butterball.

I got 14 Ameraucana pullet eggs developing and 7 big duck eggs growing... no Calls, unfortunately... but my fave Call duck picked the Winter Solstice to start laying again!

Those eggs are pretty. I have a pullet that should start laying some that color for me soon. And I love ducks! I just wish I had the room for them. I've hatched them, and they are so adorable. Have friends that have them and have seen how they are. One friend of mine had gotten some of those ducks that look like they are walking straight up...oh my goodness! I just started laughing. Here come these birds, walking a long straight up. The name is on the tip of my tongue. Help me out.

Yep... runner ducks are the ones you were talking about, the upright ducks... but Call ducks are what I have, mostly... between 1 and 2 pounds max...
