Sometimes more often than one prefers...lol.

It'll be an awesome surprise when they get crackin'. Good luck with them!!

Shipped eggs? X-ray'd? I'm still hoping mine will hatch.
Found my notes from last year, 99.5 temp rcom and they hatched
Days 22, 23, & 24. Had better hatchrate, but I should have set the temp
Higher @100 this hatch. Too late now.

Still impatiently waiting!

Hey Chonsey!!

Long time...good to see you.
(I think we were both on the 2015 December hatch)

Quote: They sound like lovely! It's so hard to lose family member pets. It really sucks when the end draws near.

I can also see the chickens are going to break our hearts over and over and over again as they pass. I didn't plan on having "pets." They're just way too personable. How does one say "no" to birds that land on your shoulder and then "talk" in your ear like your supposed to understand. And follow you around like a puppy. *sigh*

Happy new year, guys! :) I am even more overrun witrh birds now and still have more hatching! I had 8 button quail and 4 coturnix hatch last night alone!

The quail aren't the only new baby birds in the house. Check out these two ugly things(Baby white ringneck doves):

They are Ugly but cute!

Finally have some action. One of the large eggs is about half zipped and another pipped. One of the jumbos has pipped at the small end.
Awesome!

But I can see how that would look on a phone...lol.

Slap me on my wrist and call me naughty, but we moved our straggler chick, #16, out of the stinky incubator and into a little hut. Will be keeping an eye and see how things go. Would some sav-a-chick or nutridrench be helpful here? Syringe in mouth or just a little on the beak? Maybe not for right now, but by this evening.
I won't call ya naughty. Me, I remove chicks as soon as they're standing....

I'm at about half hatched so far.

The egg I worried about, because I noticed the aircell was on the side at day 10, hatched on it's own with no issues.

This is great news. I had one that was allll on one side. I've never seen one like that before. It hatched too!

I did manage to get the little to drink some of the sav a chick mix. Now she's mostly snoozing, but trying to get her feet under her. She looks better than she was first thing this morning, so I'm hopeful.

Oh good! Bet she is better by this evening.

She may have to be a keeper, because she was a special one. I like keeping those that I've had to work with.
