Lpyrbby, they might hatch just fine so just set them and keep going. Rotate the egg so the turning is perpindicular to the saddling if that makes sense.

I used to wait before setting shipped eggs, but now I set them after resting a few hours in an incubator with higher humidity for a day, then I turn the turner on after 24 hours. After a couple days I turn the humidity back down. This has really helped my hatch rate on shipped eggs, especially the DIS rate.

In my opinion the biggest factor in hatching success is the trip. Often shipped eggs have unseen damage that even the best incubation methods can't fix. All you can do is give it your best shot! Good luck.

Thank you!

My turner tray doesn't actually hold the eggs individually. It's designed so the eggs lay down on their sides and then the turner pushes them from side to side, causing them to roll a little bit at a time. None of my air cells are loose enough to act as a bubble level (although one is close), just, some of them when tilting, you can see where there's a loose spot on that side of the cell.

Onward I shall go! Going to go ahead and set them here shortly, and hope for the best!

I set 45 eggs in total. I set 18 on Friday and then the rest at midnight last night. They were 2 ohiki, 15 or so Swedish flowers, and the rest were Isabel leghorns

700

My eggs are set as well!

I set a dozen!
3 Easter Egger/Silver Laced Wyandotte mixes
3 Easter Eggers (green eggs)
3 Naked neck mixed
2 sexlink mixed
1 leghorn mix

Those 2 green eggs on the end are due in 4 days, the quail in 6
Those are not part of this hatchalong.they're just in here temporarily, til i remove infertile eggs in a couple days from my other incubator.

Good Luck to everyone!

Candled the 78 eggs last night on day 14th and 72 remained 2 blood rings and 4 stopped developing. Due on the 17th.

1st candle of 39 eggs set last Saturday (7th day) and 35 remained. 1 bloodring and 3 unfertiled. Due on the 24th.

Set another 41 eggs last night to be due on the 31st.

Congrats to everyone who set eggs today!!! I'm glad my first hatch is gonna be with all of you...SOLIDARITY!!!

What humidity does everyone keep their bators at? I've seen conflicting advice on this. Is 25-35% ok, or should it be more? I have a forced air bator, just fyi. I just want to give them their best chance. This is so much fun!!
In the Genesis 1588 I let the humidity go down to 25 and add water to get it back up to 35%. For the Brinsea I set it at 35% for most eggs. Dorkings and silkies go to 45% for examble.

Speaking of air sacks, I just candled mine to mark the air cells and I have a few that I picked up yesterday that have "okay" air cells, but they do move a little bit. Out of the 10 I can hatch from this person's eggs, 6 of them are a little jiggly, I guess. I have an auto-turner and am nervous about disrupting the remaining eggs by putting these in a carton cradle to keep them upright for a few days. Can they still hatch or am I asking for trouble just setting them and going?
This a a great plan!

My eggs are set

I hope they hatch!

You have a nice staggered hatch going! Very impressive!

Thanks. I've decided to let it hover around 35-45%. Hopefully that'll work. I have a farm innovator 42 egg bator (circulated air) and a little giant bator that I'm gonna use for lockdown (this one is still air) Is it OK to use a circulated air for incubating and a still air for hatching?
